Holistic massage promotes healing, relaxation and self awareness. It uses a combination of Swedish massage techniques, energy balancing, breathing awareness work, passive movements and stretches. Massage is one of the most instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort.

Reiki is a very gentle therapy involving the placing of hands on or just above the body in order to balance the bodies energy systems, promote deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being.

Yoga for pregnancy includes gentle yoga movements with awareness of the breath, grounding and relaxation. It encourages confidence and calmness and gives tools for coping with labour, birth and parenting. The approach is gentle, nurturing and helps to improve strength, self awareness, posture, and connection to the baby and birth.

Pregnancy massage, labour massage and postnatal massage are a wonderful preparation for birth and parenting and encourage deep relaxation, connection to the baby and releases tensions, stress and discomfort.

As a doula, Caroline offers experienced emotional, practical and informative support for women and families in the lead up to, during and immediately after childbirth. By building up a trusting relationship over time she can act to protect the womans/couples wishes, keep interruptions to a minimum, assist with decision making, promote calm confidence and help to hold a safe and private birthing environment.
